2017-2018 Ski Season Event Summary
Club Philosophy
The Charleswood Ski Club encourages people of all ages to appreciate outdoor activities throughout
the year. Recreational skiers of all abilities are welcome, and individual memberships are available
to all. The Club has province wide members.
General information
To participate in these events you must be a Charleswood Ski Club member in good standing.
Members may bring guests to all social events (except Hill, Skill and Food Fill) and one day trip.
Trips may be cancelled if insufficient registrations are received by the registration deadline.
All events are NON smoking.
Day Ski Trips
Every Weekend of the Ski Season ^ ^ ^
Day trips are offered every weekend of the ski season.
These will be advertised in our Winter Schedule which will be
available to club members in November.
Members must register for all day trips by contacting the trip leader.
The leader will then tell you about the details of the trip: when and where the meeting place is, when we expect to arrive and leave the venue, etc. The meeting time and place is usually mid-late-morning at a location inside the perimeter where there's easy parking and toilet facilities indoors (where carpooling is discussed).

Weekend (and longer) Trips
Policies for weekend and longer trips
Reservations are on a first come, first served basis. Deposits are required when booking.
Cancellations, in writing, may be requested up to the registration deadline. Unless otherwise noted, the full deposit, less a $10 administration fee, will be refunded.
Members may be responsible for full costs after the registration deadline.
If a trip is fully booked, members may place their name on a waiting list. The trip leader will contact you if a spot becomes available.
Full payment must be received by the payment deadline.
Trips are open to Charleswood Ski Club members only.
Unless otherwise noted, late registrations may be accepted after the deadline provided space is available and full payment is made.
Riding Mountain National Park Weekend ^ ^ ^

If registration numbers are below 30, the group will car pool. Ski Location: Riding Mountain National Park off PTH 10.Trip Description: Ski over 105 km of Riding Mountain National Park groomed trails along creeks and
rolling topography. National Park Pass is required for vehicles. Food is on your own. The Lakehouse does have a grill for Burgers
and fries(simple orders) and the Elkhorn Lodge is available. You should plan to bring all food.
The trip leader will collect a donation for Friends of RMNP who groom the ski trails.

Duck Mountain Provincial Park Weekend ^ ^ ^
Dates: Friday, February 16 to Monday February 19, 2018 (3 nights)Accommodation: Madge Lake Golf Course Cabins across the road from ski trails.
Two bedroom cabins (1 Queen, 1 Double and 1 Futon Double in living area) and fully equipped kitchen
located in Duck Mountain Provincial Park. See Facebook page .
Cost: $135 $285 per person quad occupancy, $265 double occupancy including bus transportation. Stokely Creek Week Long ^ ^ ^

Located in the Algoma Highlands, embracing King Mountain.
Stokely Creek Lodge is an all-inclusive resort; when you pay for your room, your meals and trail pass are included. offering free deluxe continental breakfast, exercise room, hot tub and pool with a 3-story waterslide.
